MINDFULNESS MONDAY:
Today we are going to learn an affirmation to help us through stressful and challenging periods of our lives.
A suggestion for the week:
• Come to a comfortable seated position with few distractions.
• Focus on your breathing for a minute to calm your thoughts and center yourself.
• Repeat the following quietly to yourself “I am capable of cultivating calmness and peace, even in the face of challenges great and small.”
• Focus on your breathing again for 2-3 minutes to allow this new though process to sink in.
This is a very simple tool that we are able to use whenever we feel like we are overwhelmed, challenged or not centered and in control of ourselves.
