MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


This week we are focusing on conscious breathing. Through conscious breathing, we are able to calm an overactive mind and bring ourselves deeper into the present moment.


A suggestion for the week:

• Find a place with few distractions where you can do a breathing activity for 5 minutes.

• Set a timer for 5+ minutes, sit and close your eyes.

• We are going to practice a 5-5-5-5 breath pattern for 5 minutes.

- Breathe in for 5 seconds.

- Hold the breath for 5 seconds.

- Breathe out for 5 seconds.

- Hold the empty lunge for 5 seconds.


• Continue this pattern until your timer sounds, then open your eyes and continue on with your day.
