MINDFULNESS MONDAY

At times it is important to take care of ourselves, especially in these stressful and frantic times.  Today we are doing a meditation on self-kindness, to do just that.

A suggestion for this week:                Self-Kindness Part 1

·       Sit in a comfortable place where you can move around a bit of necessary.

·       Close your eyes and focus on your breath, allowing it to be as it is naturally and notice as your body settles into this moment.

·       Think of your breath as a messenger for how you are feeling- both physically and emotionally.  Simply be aware of what you are noticing, don’t try to change anything.

·       Think of a loving presence on your life- it could be a family member, a friend, someone alive or one that has passed, it could also be a beloved pet.  How would you feel in their presence if they were here now?  What would it be like to be wholly accepted and embraced for the person you are now?  To feel seen, worthy and cared for?

·       Now, notice the feeling that is arising in you.  What does it feel like? Is it warm?  Is there a sense of energy or light?

·       What words would you like this individual to say to you right now?  Place a hand on your heart and feel the sense of love and acceptance seeping into your body.  If it helps you can keep repeating their message to yourself.

·       You can also imagine the individual putting one or both arms around you, feel the warmth of their love and acceptance of you.

·       When you are ready to move on, remember that this love is always accessible to us, there is always love there for us, we just have to look for it.

I hope you have a great rest of your week!
