MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


This week’s activity is concerning the spirit of generosity.

Generosity does not become activated once we have excess. It is a quality of the spirit that is unrelated to one’s resources. Generosity can be expressed in kindness, warmth, loving words, kind notes and many other ways in addition to a generous giving of material resources.


A suggestion for the week:

• Come to a comfortable position and set a timer for at least 5 minutes.

• Envision yourself as a dignified, confident and generous person.

• Notice if your posture changes as you breathe and embody the qualities of dignity, confidence and generosity.

• First, ask yourself “In what ways am I already generous?”

• Notice the memories that come to mind.

• Then ask yourself “In what ways can I be generous today?”

• Observe the ideas that arise.

• When you finish your meditation, make an effort to take action on these new ideas. Practice generosity in one form or another every day this week.
