Mindfulness Monday

As a change of pace this week we are going to learn a meditation you can do with your pet.

We are surrounded by others that seem to be perpetually blissful and so filled with love that they have never known a bad day in their lives. That is obviously untrue, but that belief can feed our dissatisfaction with ourselves, making the practice of loving-kindness seem even more out of reach.

When we can’t access loving-kindness in our lives, we can aim instead for ‘warm and friendly’. Animals can be great guides on this path. They live perpetually in the present and never resist their own emotions. They can also be amazing teachers at uncondition…

MINDFULNESS MONDAY

Happy Monday. This week we are going to look at building confidence. Many people have low self-esteem. Often this will manifest as a lack of confidence, even about activities in which they are highly skilled. This can, over time, lead to non-optimal results in our lives. MINDFULNESS MONDAY

This week we are going to learn an exercise that is designed to build our empathy in interactions with others and in our relationships.

A suggestion for the week: Building Empathy

· In this activity, your attention stays focused on other people.

· In at least three major encounters per day do the following:

MINDFULNESS MONDAY

In building from last week’s post about being still, this week we have a list of Mindfulness tasks that can be performed throughout your day, every day.

A suggestion for the week: From a mindfulness perspective try these at different times during the day.

· Do only one thing at a time, avoid multitasking.

· Notice how often during your day you get the opportunity to do nothing.

· Can you take advantage of these moments and do less?
