MINDFULNESS MONDAY

At times it is important to take care of ourselves, especially in these stressful and frantic times.  Today we are doing a meditation on self-kindness, to do just that.

A suggestion for this week:                Self-Kindness Part 1

·       Sit in a comfortable place where you can move around a bit of necessary.

·       Close your eyes and focus on your breath, allowing it to be as it is naturally and notice as your body settles into this moment.

·       Think of your breath as a messenger for how you are feeling- both physically and emotionally.  Simply be aware of what you are noticing, don’t try to change anything.

MINDFULNESS MONDAY

Today’s activity offers a series of questions to deepen your understanding of where you might reframe your language or your perspective in order to find greater acceptance.

A suggestion for this week: Acceptance of Circumstance

· Come to comfortable position in a quiet room. Have a piece of paper and pen with you to take notes.

· Consider one situation or event that happened in contradiction to your hopes, dreams or plans.

This activity can be done anywhere and anytime, it can be used as a way to help kids cope with stressful thoughts or feelings.

· All you need is a small bell, tone bar or meditation bowl, you can even use an app to create a sound. You want to sound to last for 15- 30 seconds or so.

· You can follow this script:

This week we are looking at strengthening our emotional health. We are going to find a positive mindset regarding an area in our lives that needs improvement. We will create a positive affirmation concerning this area and, over time, this affirmation can affect our subconscious mind and help to grow our capacity to create success and mold our reality.

A suggestion for the week: Positive Affirmations

· Come to a comfortable position where you are not distracted and are able to focus inwards.

· Think of a few areas in your life where you feel you need improvement. You can write these down if you choose.

· Now think of a positive statement that reflects your goal for changing each area you came up with. This statement should be in the present tense- remember that you are trying to change your present situation, not the future.

· You can …
