MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


This week we are going to learn something to do when we are feeling stuck in a rut.


A suggestion for the week:

• Whenever you are feeling hopeless, depressed, have a worry that you may never be free from a certain problem try the following mantra to give yourself a breakthrough.

• Repeat the following with really focusing on the words, your thoughts, your feelings: “Breakthrough is coming”

• Notice the thoughts and feelings that arise, especially those concerning your particular concerns or areas of uncertainty.


MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


Today we are going to learn an affirmation to help us through stressful and challenging periods of our lives.


A suggestion for the week:

• Come to a comfortable seated position with few distractions.

• Focus on your breathing for a minute to calm your thoughts and center yourself.

• Repeat the following quietly to yourself “I am capable of cultivating calmness and peace, even in the face of challenges great and small.”


MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


This week our intention is to deepen your connection to the world around you and to develop a sense of ownership over our reality.


A suggestion for the week:

• Come to a comfortable seat and set a timer for at least 5 minutes

• Silently repeat the statement “The world belongs to the living. As I live, the world belongs to me.”

• When your timer goes off, stretch your body in any way that feel good to you and repeat out loud “The world belongs to the living. As I live, the world belongs to me.”


MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


Today we are looking at a simple way to incorporate some daily meditation into your routine.


A suggestion for the week:

• When you are taking your next shower, take the opportunity to be mindful of your experience.

• Take a few deep breaths and experience the temperature of the water. Notice the feel of the water as it is running over your body.

• Be aware of and notice the fragrance of your soap.
